Leaning up against the side of the building, Bella took another long drag on her cigarette. Just to calm her nerves. She figured it was about time she at least attempted to live a normal life. After dinner with Ayden, she knew she could at least appear normal. Now it was time to get a job; something to fund her plan of action. She couldn't keep schmoozing off her parents, could she.
After a while, she ground her cigarette into the concrete and grabbed her crutch. She hobbled farther down the road until she spotted the Help Wanted sign she saw just the other day. Still there, thank goodness. Taking a deep breath, she tried balancing on her good leg before attempting to pull the door opened, but it seemed to open on its own. A kind-looking man stood on the other side, his massive hand keeping the door ajar. He smiled at Bella, but she could only return half a smirk. Muttering a word of thanks, she entered the restaurant and walked towards the counter, requesting whoever was in charge. Moments later, while she awaited this man in charge, she was approached by the man himself. She leaned off the wall. "How may I help you?" the boss inquired. "I'm not the best people person, I do have a few injuries yet to fully heal, I have a low tolerance for crap, and I'm pretty much awful to be around these days, but I am a very good cook. I don't necessarily like to bake, but I find it rather therapeutic. At least my closest friends say that my food and baked good taste very good. And... I really need something to work towards. My life... is spiraling out of control before my very eyes. You're in need of help and so am I. So... help me help you? The boss eyed her for a moment before a small smile curved around his lips. "When can you start?" he asked.
