About Sybil
Place of Birth: London, England |
Sybil's PersonalitySybil is a rather outgoing child. She's a social butterfly, and will talk to anyone who comes by the house (which is why her sister tends to describe her as a pest when she brings friends over) and mostly doesn't stop talking until shut up by someone. She likes to draw and colouring, as well as going out with her family.
Sybil's BackgroundBorn three weeks early, Sybil was a child that required a certain amount of attention from her parents. She spent her early childhood with her father and mother in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, until it was safe enough for them to return home. After that, she spent a significant amount of time with both her parents, until disaster struck.
At a young age, Sybil and her sister moved with her mother to a variety of houses. First, she lived with just her mother, but afterwards she spent time going between her mother and father. And even later at her mother's again. Yet, at the tender age of 3 years old, Sybil had lost a first part of her family. Sybil's mother had passed away. It became a strange life after for Sybil, one where she didn't fully understand what had actually taken place. It was very hard for her to understand her mother would never come back. |
Yet as time passed, this new life became easier to handle for Sybil. She still had her father and siblings, even though her older brother Tristan sometimes completely disappeared from their lives. Eventually, this became their new normal, and Sybil began to go to school and learn. And her dad never stopped talking about her mother anyways, so she learned about her through him.
Then, one day when she was about 7 years old, her life got rocked again. For years in school, she'd been noticing she was a little slower than the other children in her class when it came to reading. She could read, but sometimes she seemed to have problems with the letters seemingly mixing up in her head. She went to her sister for help, and together with their father, they worked on her reading skills, although this proved a struggle in itself. But while she struggled with that, she flourished in other ways. Her father allowed her to take music classes, and her music teacher told her she was a true flute prodigy.
Years passed, and Sybil continued to work hard on her reading. She still wasn't perfect, but she was better. Shortly before her 10th birthday, Sybil was joined at her father's house by her older brother Tristan. He was brought back by his mother, and now they lived together once more. Sybil actually enjoyed this, and her brother helped taking care of her, even going as far as picking her up from school on select days.
