Bella glanced at her BFF who was fast asleep on the couch. Curiosity was hammering at her mind like a woodpecker and she could no longer take it. Going into her school bag, she withdrew the book she'd purchased days ago from the book shop. She returned to her sleeping bag on the living room floor and placed the book in her lap. As she lifted the cover, it seemed to weight a ton. How could something so... fascinating feel so... wrong? What was she big taboo about "it" anyway?
Using her cell phone as a light to illuminate the pages, she let her eyes slide over the words and the images. They made her feel... strange. Though she was mostly entrapped by her curiosity. She had so many questions, so many things that she wanted to understand. Was it wrong? She shut the book quickly, slipped it underneath the couch, and lay on her back. Her mum had given her "the talk" last year, and she knew the mechanics about "it", but still, she couldn't understand the big deal. Yet somehow, her curiosity was on overdrive. Maybe there was more to "it" that she would understand later...
