She rubbed her bleary eyes and looked at her alarm clock. 04.00. Rolling her eyes fondly, Bella sat up in bed. Her injured leg ached as it did everyday. She rubbed her stiff muscles and managed to climb out of bed. It was against her doctor's orders that she should already go on such a strenuous trip. After almost a year of being in a full leg cast, her muscles had degenerated and she was still in rehabilitation, but no one was going to keep her from living her life. Not after she'd almost lost it.
Eventually, she freshened up, got dressed, and grabbed her backpack. She met Belie in the living room and followed the delicious breakfast aromas to the kitchen. "I made pancakes!" Belie chirped. Bella grimaced. How could anyone be so cheerful so early? Yet, she was still grateful. "Thanks." "Hey, what are apprentices for?" Belie teased. Bella couldn't help but laugh. "Still going to follow me on these adventures after I proved I'm... potentially insane?" she asked. "Yup," said Belie, serving the pancakes. Bella smiled. "Come on," she said, once they finished eating. "We better get to the bus terminal." They grabbed their backpacks and caught a cab to the bus terminal. On the way there, Bella's mind wandered. By the goddess, she hoped this would give her a fresh start, so to speak. These quests... she hoped it would be just the start she needed to achieve her dream. It would probably be a slow, frustrating process, she thought. But it had to be done. "Thanks for coming with me," she told Belie as they finally arrived at the bus terminal. "First stop, Stonehenge. This is just the start." (TBC)
