It’s sweet when someone says he loves you and promises to stay by your side in good and bad. But not everyone can live up to such promises. Sometimes people run away when the pressure weighs heavy on them, or when the situation becomes really bad. I’m so glad to know that I have a boyfriend who refuses to leave my side when things get bad. It's funny... even when I was scared to death, I took some comfort in knowing that I wouldn't be all alone. I’m also grateful that my loved ones embraced me when I thought they would push me away. It didn’t seem like it when I was in the middle of an emergency, but… I’m really lucky! Comment #1. I'm glad I could be there <33

![]() If I could, I would write an entire tribute for every special person in my life. There are so many people who have done so much for me and mean so much for me. There's my biological dad, Sandro, who I love dearly. I miss him, but I know that he also loves me. Then there's my mum. Years ago, I made a point of calling her my "adopted" mother (Mama Rosa), but the truth is, I consider her my real mother. Then there's Roy, my other dad. Lucky me, I get 2 dads! Roy is strict, but I know how much he cares for me. I can't forget to mention my BFF, Marit, who always knows exactly what to say to make me laugh when I'm down. I can always share my deepest, darkest secrets with her and she'd never judge me harshly. But now, the person who I'd like to dedicate the bulk of this tribute to is my boyfriend Niels. Even though someone (*ahem* mum!) already stole my idea for a tribute. The reason is because soon Niels will be graduating and making a huge step in his life. So without further ado, here's my tribute: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To Niels... What can I say. Every moment with you is something new. I can spend hours and hours just gazing into your eyes, dreaming of the future. Sometimes it seems that we don't even need to talk to know exactly what's going on in each other's mind. I know you work very hard, and you're very passionate about the things you do, so there's no doubt that you'll be successful. Things are changing so much quicker than I expected. Before we know it, you'll be all grown up, walking down another path in life. Most importantly, I want you to be happy no matter what. Even if that means having to leave some... um... "things" behind for a little while. Don't let anyone hold you back. No matter what, ok? I have one wish for you Comments #1. I so love you, you're amazing <33 I will always love you as well! <3333
Niels van Loon #2. hehe, I'm glad you feel the same way <3333333 Amanda van Loon #3. Forever <33333333 Niels van Loon #4. and ever!!! :*** Amanda van Loon I'm 30 years old... I've been touring for 12 years now, and it's my tourbreak. We're here in Rome, my family and I. My husband and I wake up to our kid jumping on the bed. We grab her and shower her with lots of love before she wiggles free and runs off to the huge playroom in our villa. It's a beautiful day for a date, so the nanny comes over, and my husband and I go on a stroll through the town. Although we live there and have been through the city so many times, we can't help but admire the beautiful architecture of the buildings surrounding us. So many times, we've visited the beautiful ancient sites: the Vatican, the Colosseum, The Forum, the Pantheon... We have lunch in a little cafe, enjoying our paninis and coffee, before going to the Piazza de Spagna, just to sit and enjoy each other's company. Everyone is walking around, sightseeing or shopping, but my husband and I rather sit there... remembering when we were a really young couple, and happy to be living in Rome together, 12 years later. Finally, as it starts to get a little chilly outside, we take each other's hands and descend the Spanish Steps, walking through the beautiful town again before taking a taxi to our villa. At the villa, we have dinner with our daughter and watch a movie. When she falls asleep, we have time for ourselves. When in Rome, huh? Comments #1. *smiles* well done Amanda. Btw, that was my Mom's dream..She didn't have much luck, but I sure hope you did..that sounds like a lovely one..hope your feeling better too..Danny

I would have liked just a tiny bit more details of the piazza, but overall, nice descriptions of the architecture. It's interesting... the similarities between your story and Niels' ;) Good job! Rosa Rosewell van Loon #12. More details... ok, mum :p Amanda van Loon I feel so grown up! I have an official bank account in Rome. It's so exciting. So now I can start saving up. Now I just have to find a way to make some money aside from my allowance. I was part of a national dance competition in NY on my birthday and I only got 2nd place , but that's still really good, I guess. The only thing that wasn't so good was that I was sick so I didn't get to enjoy myself. But soon my family is on break, so I'm so happy for that. Bella was part of a competition too, but she insists that she writes about it herself. hehe. So that'll be in her blog, I guess. But she took a hip-hop class at the gym and she was so amazing. Look ! Comments #1. Nice dancing baby, I'm so proud of you! And saving up for you and me *questioning look and wink*
Niels van Loon #2. Thank you, thank you! And... um... *grins* Amanda van Loon #3. Is that a yes or a no? *grin* Niels van Loon #4. *giggles* I think you already know the answer. Amanda van Loon #5. A yes it is *winks* I'll see you in Stockholm <33 Niels van Loon #6. See you there!! <33 Amanda van Loon After two days of being sick, she was finally able to sit up without throwing up from the intense pounding in her head. Perfect timing, she thought. Today she was competing in the national dance competition, and she hadn’t practiced for quite a while. Even worse, she hadn’t checked her phone and email for a long time. Surely, she’d missed some important messages. Turning her feverish eyes to the clock on the hotel bed side table, she looked at the time. Only 5:00. With a yawn and a stretch, she got out of bed and immediately began rehearsing her dance. A couple of hours later, there was a knock on her door and Rosa came in, inquiring how she was feeling. Though she was still a littler feverish and sore, not to mention the upset stomach and headache, she said she was fine. Now way she was missing the competition. “Oh and there’s a little package here for you,” said Rosa. She kissed Amanda’s forehead and said “Happy birthday” before handing her a couple of boxes and leaving the room. Sitting on the bed, Amanda looked at the heart-shaped box of chocolates and took the attached envelope to read the card she’d received from Niels. Inside of the other box there was a delicious-looking chocolate cake. Though there was no candle, Amanda closed her eyes and made a silent wish: one more year. Comments #1. aww happy birthday, and hope you feel better. Good luck with the dance, and don't worry bout the homework.;p
Daniel Sanader-Jackson #2. Thank you, Mr. Danny. I'll definitely do the homework next time. I feel much better. Amanda van Loon |
