Niels smiled softly at Amanda. He knew exactly what she was feeling, or so he guessed. He too felt a bit sad his little girl was growing up so fast, after all it just seemed like yesterday when she was born, and soon her little brother would be here. It was amazing how fast things had gone, transforming the sweet, little, helpless being into a girl that talked her head off, went to the potty all by herself and slept in a big girl bed. Niels had to sigh for a moment, for he realised his little girl was indeed growing up. Emi had been growing up a bit faster, getting used to the new things they were introducing to her faster, ever since they'd first announced the fact she was becoming a big sister. And Emi seemed convinced that being a big sister meant growing up, letting go of her crib and not be too hard on her parents. Niels had to smile, looking at one of the baby monitors standing next to Amanda. His little one was sleeping, soundly, hugging her stuffed animal tightly. Niels had to resist the urge to get up, to go to her room to check up on her, to see how she was sleeping. But that probably was a bad idea... ![]() He rubbed Amanda's belly softly, kissing her cheek. He was still amazed how life had treated him well, with this amazing wife and a sweet kid, with a second one on the way. But he sure hoped their little boy arriving would not be a sign for Emi to grow up faster, he wanted to hold on to his little girl, just a bit longer. With a soft sigh, he looked into Amanda's eyes, wiping a tear from the corner of it carefully. He whispered to her: "You're an amazing mummy baby, and don't worry, Emi will always be our little girl!" He kissed Amanda gently before handing her something small, something Emi wanted him to buy for her. He whispered again: "Look what Emi wanted to buy when we were shopping today..."
