A calm day, a day out. That’s what they had when they were still in New York. And now the pictures were ready to be printed.
They had gone to the sea with Emi, their little girl. She was growing fast, soaking up words as easy as snipping your fingers. Nowadays, she was babbling all the time, mostly happy, but she often had a tantrum when she had to go to bed. Luckily for them, she was a calm child for the rest. As they had left their penthouse, Emi was a happy child. She had been “talking” to her mummy and daddy, and they had talked back to her, encouraging their little girl to learn more, to do more. Both him and Amanda wanted Emi to be a smart kid, and to learn at her own pace. And she certainly was doing so, being very curious about everything they saw. Eventually, the little girl had fallen asleep, and Niels had been staring at his Amanda in love for the remainder of the bus ride. She still was so beautiful, so perfect to him. He couldn’t get the thought out of his head he was lucky to have her, that he would never let her go… He just loved her with all of his heart and soul, with all he had. She was his world, and to him she always would be. Once the little girl was in the sand, she had squealed happily. She had taken big steps, being excited about being at the beach. Thanks to his camera and the autocount on it, Niels had managed to take a picture of them walking. Looking at the picture, Niels thought life couldn’t get any better, not with his wife and Emi around. All was perfect, just the way it was
