When I grow up, I want to be a rocker! I know this may sound stupid, but I love playing the guitar really much, and singing is something I can do real good! So that's why I've been working on those skills a lot! I've already practiced my basic string instruments and guitar a lot. Next to that, I've also worked on my singing, my lead vocals, my dancing for beginners and my professional dancing! My rock genre is fairly decent already, but there's room for improvement. I however still need to skill for my stage events, as well as my showmanship, even though I'm not afraid of performing, not afraid of making music where others can hear it. So that's fine already, but I do need to work on my showmanship. Now how did I get the idea of becoming a guitarist, a rocker even more? Well, the answer is simple: my mom nd dad... My dad always used to play the guitar when me and my younger siblings went to bed, and the tones coming out of it were really soothing and calming. I however play the electric guitar, but I find calmth in the tones coming from my guitar. And rock, that's something both my mom and dad have. Mom is a star in the rock, and dad always liked rock and he would have played it most likely if he didn't have a different opportunity. Considering public functions I'm afraid I'm a little biased. My dad has been a dCoP for a long time, and he has been CoP for one or two days, because he wasn't able to combine the task with touring. My stepmom Bryana is currently running for vice-mayor (GOOD LUCK!), and my sister Joella's husband Christian has been mayor and now is the treasurer of Amsterdam. So yeah, I like people in public functions, maybe I'll have one myself some day, though I think that's unlikely. So far for the job I want to have when I grow up, I hope I covered all of your questions. Niels Comments #1. Hi rocker! I've seen your skills, you're doing great! Hello Mr. Craanen, Here's this weeks assignment, a song I wrote for my girlfriend... Niels The first day It was one day, the day I first met you... It was at a park, and there you were. You were dancing, in between the tall oak trees, the wind slowly playing through your hair a vague smile around your lips. It was that moment, I felt something strange, my heart fell like a brick, and all I could do was stare. It was the best thing I've ever seen, almost as if I was in a dream but when my lips touched your cheek my knees grew weak. I fell in love with you don't ever want to let go, wanna stay close, and be with you, forever! Comments #1. You remembered all of that? <3
Amanda van Loon #2. *Applauds* What a great sensitive song text!! You're such an romanticist! Greetz, Mr. Craanen Thomas Craanen This year was (approximately) my dad's thirteenth Big Bang, or so he told me at least. The only two years he didn't perform at it were last year and the year he joined his first band. He says it could be there were other years he didn't compete either, but the moment he began touring the world he began to participate at the Big Bang. His first show was a complete disaster. Everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong, so he said. His guitar didn't get there in time, the roadies took their time to set up stage equipment... All in all, it was a complete fiasco. But he learned from this and now he's doing it better every year. This year was a new challenge for him though, cause it was be the first time he performed as a solo artist. This means more to do, more to risk... He had to do all the events by himself, play all the songs on his own, even sing... This he hadn't done for ages until the start of this last tour. Well, he did sing, but not the songs he had written himself... But in my opinion it went okay. He still was a little off-tone during some of the songs, but his guitar play made up for it, that made it sound pretty damn good! He did many events too, but the ones I liked the most were the one where he was breathing fire, his wall of death and the one in which he almost disappears because of all the smoke the act uses. The rest of them were okay, I guess, but not as cool as those events! Me, I've been going to see the Big Bang for years now, actually already for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, my big sister Joella used to take me there, to see our mom and my dad, and when I grew older, I did the same thing with my younger siblings: taking them with me to the Big Bang, to see their mom and my dad. And I've always enjoyed doing so! In the future, I hope to be on this stage myself one day, seeing how it feels to be a well-known artist, performing here, in Rio, with a massive crowd going wild... Niels Comments #1. Hi niels!
