Emi squeezed her mummy's hand as they walked. Her mummy brought her to a building that she'd never seen before, but from the dance posters in the glass, Emi could tell that they had arrived.
Emi held her mummy's hand tighter. There was a lot of talking at the front desk, and lots of papers for her parents to fill out. Emi stared at the telly screen in the waiting room, at the pretty dancers twirling. She hoped she would be that good someday. Or even better, like her mummy! "Emilia?" Emi looked away from the telly, at a lady with red hair. The lady smiled widely and held a hand out to Emi. "Are you ready for your first class?" Unsure, Emi looked at her mummy and daddy. When they nodded, Emi looked at the lady and nodded too. "My name is Lissa," said the lady, taking Emi's hand. "I have a feeling you'll like it here." She walked away with Emi, but for a while, Emi tried to look back at her mummy and daddy until she could no longer see them. Lissa took her into a studio as big as her mummy's studio back in Paris. Except it wasn't just her family in this studio--and it wasn't a smaller class like in London. Here, there were a lot of kids. And they were all staring at her. Emi stared back at them, but not for long. Soon, the class began. Emi skipped around the room with the other five and six-year-olds, but she was so bored. After a whole bunch of walking around and pointing her toes and "reaching for the sky", Emi thought she'd fall asleep. She wanted to do real dance. As class was over, her mummy and daddy were waiting outside of the room. Some bigger kids walked into the studio, and as their class started, Emi's eyes grew big. She pointed to the older kids. "I want to do that!" she said. Lissa looked at Emi's mummy and daddy and asked, "Can she?" Emi gave them her best puppy dog eyes, and soon she was dancing with the big kids.
