Emi stared at the tiny little creature in her grandma's arms. She moved closer, poking its cheek. It didn't feel like her dolly, but it sure looked like it. She looked at her mama with curious eyes. "Dolly?" she inquired. Her mama laughed. "No, Emi. Not your dolly. That's a baby..."
"Baby?" Emi echoed. She poked the little thing again, and this time, it moved. Emi backed away uncertainly. But then, her mama took the little creature into her arms. "Come give the baby a kiss," said Amanda. Emi moved closer again. The little creature was moving around and making noises. It sounded a lot like a person. Hmm, maybe it was a person. "Baby?" Emi asked again. "Yes, sweetie. This is your aunt, Aubrey. Do you want to give Aubrey a hug and a kiss?" Emi beamed. She loved giving hugs and kisses. Even to this... baby. "I have?" she asked after a while. Her mama chuckled again. "No, sweetie. You can't have her."
