Finally, the time I have anticipated is drawing nearer. This week is Halloween and Christmas then next week is my birthday. Yes, I'm counting my birthday as a holiday. I'm just so excited for it.
This time last year I was shopping like a madwoman. I was buying so many presents and loading them into my car. I went to Amsterdam to meet my boyfriend's family and I fell in love with his little sisters. I think that was the first time I realised how badly I wanted children. Just because I'm young doesn't mean I don't get those feelings. I definitely do and they're strong too! This year I don't feel much like shopping. Lately I've been in a pretty good mood. I've actually been quite happy. However, now I know the two little ones I'm taking care of would have to go back to their parents soon, especially because I will be doing some travelling. I'm beginning to feel a bit sad again and I don't think it's because the kids are leaving. Crap! I don't want to feel this way again. Whyyyyy? I think I need to go shopping! I REFUSE to have a break down this time. I'm stronger than that! BIRTHDAY COUNTDOWN: 8 days

Okay, patience is a virtue but I'm losing it. I'm trying to be sensible and calm but all this skilling is killing me. I want to do a concert already but things keep getting in the way. I wish I can fast forward time. Come on Halloween, Christmas and New Years -- My birthday is on New Years! I wish I could fast forward the time so I can have some real fun!!!!!! While I wait for the celebrations to begin, I have a challenge against my clever boyfriend... hmm... I have to be creative to win this one. hahaha. Well, that will keep me busy until the celebrations begin. I'm so excited! I CAN'T WAIT!!! BIRTHDAY COUNTDOWN: 9 days... Comments
#1. Tic Tac, Tic Tac, Tic Tac... Again 3 seconds gone :) Roy Barthel #2. Ahhh, That doesn't help! Rosa Rosewell Well, lately my days have been: Improve on skill, rest (I'm still recovering from the Johannesburg desert), jam, snuggle with my love, babysit, improve skill, rest, snuggle... date... *yawn*
BUT, what does keep me busy is preparing for a concert with my cool bandmate, Gaia. I know that I'm sort of at a stand-still in my life--all this boring skilling but I'm looking forward to the result! So, while things can be boring now, it's not the end of the world. Some very exciting days do come along. Like yesterday. I thought I would be bored out of my mind staying home and getting rest but we basically had a party at my house because there were so many people there. haha. Oh and my birthday is coming up of course, along with Halloween, Christmas, New Years... it won't be boring for long!!!!! BIRTHDAY COUNTDOWN: 11 days... I thought today would be boring, as I'm still recovering from my desert ordeal. I decided to stay home and get some rest today. Even though it's almost impossible to rest with a 2-year-old and a 5-year-old running around. I don't know why I gave Roy's bro, Mike, a key to our house when I KNOW that Amy is staying here but I gave Mike the key anyway. lol. So, Mike snuck into the house and... well, his girlfriend Amy was here so you can guess what happened. hahahahahahaha. Thank goodness I have guest bedrooms. ;) At least Leyla didn't walk in on THEM like she walked in on Roy and I a couple of days ago. That would've been hilarious. Amy, what can I say? I gave Mike the key... you have no place to get away from him now. LOL BIRTHDAY COUNTDOWN : 14 days... Comments
#1. And all I wanted was some rest at your place. ;) Amy Grijsaart #2. Hahaha. Exactly. You have no escape now. Oops. :) Rosa Rosewell #3. No, I haven't anymore.. Amy Grijsaart #4. I can always change the locks and not tell Mike. :D Rosa Rosewell #5. Haha yes you can! :D Amy Grijsaart #6. hahahahahahaha. ok... Or I can just kick him out right now. ;) Rosa Rosewell Well not really...
I was excited and nervous at the same time to cross the desert and it was stupid of me to do it all alone. I don't know what I was thinking. It was dark and the heat was still unbearable. I almost died out there and all I could think about is: Oh no! I left 5 year old Leyla and 2-year-old Saphirra Tiara in London. Thank goodness I left them in the Catty School for Kittens. I even asked Ms. Maroles to check on them every once in a while so I should have nothing to worry about. But still, I feel so bad. I'm all the way in Johannesburg, stuck in the hospital... I want to go home. Well, I'm home now... back with the children and trying to get some rest. :) It's good to be home after the stupid desert! BIRTHDAY COUNTDOWN : 15 days... Today I spent some time with little Leyla and Saphirra Tiara at the Catty School for Kittens in London. I did some observations, watching fondly as the children played in the sandpit with each other. Children are just so precious. The way the interact is adorable. Leyla is so sweet. She always looks after her younger sister on the playground. She's a good big sister. While I was still sitting around watching the children play, I got a text from Roy, asking me where I was. When I told him, I heard his voice say loud and clear: "I'm right here." I was so surprised. I jumped. He was standing right behind me (I think he came out of the school building). Haha. I feel like we haven't spent much time together lately. One of us is either at the gym, at home studying or jamming... but today we spent some time playing with his little sisters. I looked into Roy's eyes as he played with his sisters and all I could think was: he will make such a great father someday. He caught me gazing at him and he gave me this loving look that almost made me melt. We left Saphirra Tiara and Leyla playing with their dolls and quickly went to the bedroom. Just when things were getting hot, in came Leyla, carrying her dolly. Oh my goodness! I almost died of embarrassment. I actually rolled off the bed and Roy just pulled the sheet over himself. lol. Leyla walked right up to me while I was on the floor trying to pull my shirt back on. I pulled the sheet off the bed and covered myself just as she got to me. Leyla looked at me with the cutest smile and said, "Rosa, will you play with me?" And Roy just started laughing as Leyla sat on the floor beside me. hahaha BIRTHDAY COUNTDOWN : 17 days... Comments
